I am humbled to have been elected as Trustee on Te Ātiawa Ki Whakarongotai Charitable Trust.

My professional background has primarily been within public sector corporate services working for Te Tari Tai Whenua (Department of Internal Affairs), Defence Housing Authority in Australia, Private Secretary to Minister of Internal Affairs, and Manatū Aorere (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade).

My leadership strengths are communications, teamwork, strategy frameworks and decision making.

I worked for MFAT off and on while our whanau travelled for my husband’s mahi (Australia, Belgium, Thailand), and have recently completed a 9-year term with MFAT in Whanganui-aTara. As a Regional Asset Manager, I covered commercial and residential property portfolios in Africa, Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia.

More recently, I initiated a Te Tiriti based programme seeking engagement of Mātauranga Māori specialists in acquisition, architectural design, and fit out workstreams for key properties offshore and for the new head office currently under construction in Wellington.

My governance experience includes four years as Chairperson of Wa Ora Montessori School in Lower Hutt; President of WCO Women’s Group in Brussels; President of Australia New Zealand Women’s Group in Bangkok; Chairperson of Rēnata Te Munu me Epiha Karoro Ahu Whenua Trust; and Member of Te Whare Māori o te Kainga Puaroha, Home of Compassion.

I am a member of Puha Rikiriki, a Whanganui-a-Tara based roopu engaged in delivering Te Ātiawa Taranaki Whanui cultural services across the rohe.
