We would like to announce the resignation of two of our kaimahi: Ruby-Mei Thomas and Melanie McCormick.   Ruby-Mei was with us in the tari as the office administrator, and Mel worked remotely as the Pou Takawaenga Taiao in the Taiao unit.

The Trust Board would like to thank them both very much for their mahi and wish them well in their next endeavours.   

Both of these positions are being covered in house for the time being so please direct regular communications to admin@teatiawakikapiti.co.nz for any operational/office activities and to taiao@teatiawakikapiti.co.nz for all Taiao inquiries.

Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai Charitable Trust are seeking an admin superstar with an eye for detail.

Te wāhi mahi | Working here:

We are a small close-knit whānau seeking a competent person to be our central communication extraordinaire.

Mō te tūranga | About the role:

We are looking for a team player who will engage with whānau and visitors to the tari. You will have a proactive approach and an interest in being involved in a variety of roles and ‘wearing a few hats.

Secretarial skills will be second nature to you and the full Microsoft suite will be likewise familiar.  Must also have knowledge on Tiki Systems online iwi membership software.

This is an exciting time for the iwi and we are looking forward to a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere.

Essential to the role is:

  • Understanding of kawa me ona tikanga o Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai
  • Knowledge of te reo rangatira
  • All applicants must be a NZ Resident/Citizen or have a valid NZ work permit.
  • Willingness to contribute and be involved in te ao Māori solutions.

Taiao Co-Ordinator

Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai Charitable Trust are seeking an experienced coordinator to facilitate Taiao projects.

Te wāhi mahi | Working here:

We are a small close-knit whānau team seeking a dedicated well organised team member with a passion for Taiao, and for finding the right solutions to ensure the benefit of iwi and the rohe.

Mō te tūranga | About the role:

We are looking for an individual with experience Iwi environmental issues under the Resource Management Act. A high degree of computer literacy is expected and previous experience with CRM’s would be advantageous. The full Microsoft suite will be likewise familiar.
Experience with mapping and drones would also be advantageous.
