2022 Trustee Election

We have contracted electionz.com as an independent election management company to manage the voting process for their 2022 Trustee election. This week you should have received an email or voting packs in the post. This signals that voting is now underway for this year’s election. Voter packs have been sent to all adult verified members with a current address who can vote either by post, internet voting or by ballot box at the AGM.  You can vote online now using your PIN and Password that were provided by electionz.com.  If you have this handy, CLICK HERE TO VOTE

This year there are five candidates standing for THREE (3) trustee and ONE (1) alternate trustee vacancies on the Board. Profiles of the candidates standing for election can be viewed from the voting website or by clicking HERE

please vote NOW to be sure that your vote counts. Postal and internet voting close at 5pm on Friday 11 February 2022.

The AGM is being held at the Whakarongotai Marae, Waikanae on Sunday 13 February 2022 commencing at 1pm. All members are invited to attend.

Notice is hereby given that the Hui-a-Tau / Annual General Meeting of Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai Charitable Trust Board will be held at Whakarongotai Marae, 4 Marae Lane, Waikanae at 1pm on Sunday 13th February 2022.

–  Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai Charitable Trust Annual Report 2020/2021
–  Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai Holdings Ltd Annual Report 2020/2021
–  Wharekohu Fisheries Ltd Annual Report 2020/2021
–  Appointment of Auditor/Accountant, General Business

As at the closing date of nominations for elections of Trustees to the Board the number of persons nominated for election to the Board exceeded the number of appointments to be made, an election shall be held in accordance with the provisions of the Trust Deed. 

Details of nominated candidates and voting papers will be sent to all adult registered members at their last known address in New Zealand. Voting may be by postal or electronic ballot received before 5 pm on  Friday 11th February 2022 preceding the Hui-a-Tau / Annual General Meeting, or in person (but not by proxy) and before 10 am on the day of that meeting.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Notice is hereby given that Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai Charitable Trust Board seeks nominations from adult registered members to fill three vacancies for the positions of Trustee, and one vacancy for the position of Alternate Trustee.

The term of office is two years, and nomination forms and position description are available from the returning officer electionz.com on 0800 666 029 or by emailing iro@electionz.com

The nomination pack along with the governance manual is also available from the Trust office, 10 Parata Street, P O Box 509, Waikanae 5250, (04) 293 1538 or by emailing admin@teatiawakikapiti.co.nz.

Each nomination must be made on the official nomination form. Each nomination must be signed by the nominee, and a nominator and a seconder who are all registered and verified adult members of the Trust. The nominee must also complete a declaration of eligibility and supply a brief candidate profile statement stating relevant experience and objectives if elected, and a photo.

Completed nomination forms must be returned to the Returning Officer no later than 5.00 PM on Friday 10 December 2021LATE NOMINATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. If more than the required number of nominations are received, elections will be held by postal and internet voting at the Annual General Meeting. The Trust will give further notice after the nomination period has closed.
